Group Climbing Session

Group climbing sessions are ideal for new climbers or groups. You’ll have a great experience with our low participant to staff ratios and maximized climbing time. The session can be catered to the ability and interests of the participants, including focuses on movement skills, safety, climbing technique, teambuilding, or other goals. For large groups, we usually split the group in two and have half the group boulder while the other half climbs on the ropes. We then switch halfway through so everyone gets a chance to try both.

Typical group climbing sessions include:

  • 1:4 ratios for instructors : participants
  • Instruction on basic safety (e.g., bouldering falls, safety checks)
  • All the rental gear
  • 1 hour and 30 minutes of belaying and climbing instruction

Not included

  • Belay instruction or certification (please see our Ground School course instead)
  • A day pass for climbing before or after the session

What to bring:

  • Waivers: you can sign the waiver online in advance, or plan to arrive a few minutes early to sign. Climbers under the age of 19 must have waivers signed by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Comfortable clothes: climbers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes that they can move in, and a pair of thin socks for under the climbing shoes. Long shorts or pants are more comfortable than shorter shorts when wearing a harness.

Additional discounts may be available for schools and non-profits; please inquire with us directly!
