Groundlings (Pre-K to K)Ages: For kids currently attending Kindergarten, or going into Kindergarten next year (approx. ages 4-5)
The focus of this program is to introduce kids to the fun and exciting world of climbing!
In this class, participants will learn new skills, explore their physical abilities and build confidence. While the focus will always be on fun, participants will be introduced to structured activities and explore concepts of risk assessment in a safe and supportive environment.
Pebble Wrestlers (Grade 1 to 3)This program is for kids in grades 1 through 3. We will focus on age-appropriate movement skills, the ABCs of athleticism (agility, balance, coordination), and the safe use of climbing equipment including belaying with an instructor. Our programs are always fun and interactive, with lots of games and challenges.
Shapeshifters (Grade 4 to 7)This program is for kids in grades 4 through 7. We will focus on age-appropriate movement skills, mental training, bodyweight physical skills, and the safe use of climbing equipment including belaying independently. Our programs are always fun and interactive, with lots of games and challenges.
Shapeshifters 2 (Int./Adv.)This program is for kids in grades 4 through 7. We will be working through our 6-level Youth Program Curriculum and Achievement System, with a focus on age-appropriate movement skills, mental training, bodyweight physical skills, and the safe use of climbing equipment including belaying independently. Our programs are always fun and interactive, with lots of games and challenges.
Superflys (Grade 8 - 12)Superflys will focus on all the fun and benefits of social climbing. Activities may include belaying independently, lead climbing, bouldering, physical and mental training, and leadership. Content will build upon what has been learned in previous programs (if applicable) and students will get a chance to focus on what interests them most in the realm of climbing.
